JEA Design Contest

With the release of our album 'Love Will Slow Me Down' and the launch of our new website comes this design contest. Feel like designing something?

What do I make?
You'll be designing a poster or teeshirt (or something entirely different) for Junior Eats Alone. Rules are: there are no rules.

Where do I send it?
The deadline for entering this competition is September 1st 2008. Send a copy (so that is not a huge file) of your design to designcontest@junioreatsalone.com before that date. If you feel you need to mail it the old school way, here's the address: Junior Eats Alone - Michiel van Poelgeest, Zoeterwoudsesingel 1c, 2313 AX Leiden, The Netherlands.

What can I win?
If you win you'll receive the album 'Love Will Slow Me Down' as well as a JEA teeshirt (in your size), of course both signed by every single member of the band!

What does Junior do with my winning design?
We'll be using it....whether it 'll be on a button, a poster, a teeshirt or for our next album cover: chances are hundreds of people will be admiring your design! So join this contest and show us what you can do! If you would like to use the JEA logo, please send an email to the above mentioned email address.

The winner will be anounced on this website before September 10th. The winning design will then also be diplayed here. There will be no discussion regarding the winning design, unless you start one of course: so don't.

Junior Eats Alone scores distribution deal with Bertus

More good news for JEA. Soon our CD "Love will slow me down" will be available in stores around the Netherlands after scoring a deal with BeNeLux' largest CD distributor: Bertus.

Unfortunately this does not automatically mean that every CD store will order it, but should you live somewhere in the Netherlands, Belgium or Luxemburg, make sure you go to your local record store and get the owner to order our CD.

Junior Eats Alone is Serious Talent

How cool is that? Dutch national radio station 3FM has elected Junior Eats Alone 'Serious Talent'!

This means we have a chance to be aired regularly on 3FM along with a bunch of other nice things.
Most importantly it means they like what they hear.

That shows from the review they wrote with the 'editor's pick':

"As far as we're concerned one of the best Dutch bands. The arrangements (horns included) are sublimely orchestrated. Dynamic, colourful and convincing. Overwhelming."

Fantastic evening / Full house at the CD presentation

The 'magnificent eight' (you're not being arrogant when 250 people in the audience call you that) of Junior Eats Alone couldn't have wished for a better evening. "Love will slow me down"'s album presentation yesterday in Scheltema Complex turned out to be an overwhelming success. As told before, over 250 people attended the live performance and cd presentation and it would take hours for Leiden to be peaceful again.

Popping champagne, popping confetti, rocking performance and most likely: a f%&*ing headache for a lot of people, but it was all more than worth it.

Guest performances by Bart Wirtz, Eddy McPhazer (and of course Ricardo Conceicao de Pepe Christiano Ronaldu de Souza Faria) and intermission sets by DJ Miss Delicious made the night complete.

Junior Eats Alone would like to thank everyone that did his or her best to help the band out making all this possible.

Please don't forget: THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.

See you real soon.
